Winemaker Notes: Oct. 2006. 100% Estate grown from our sustainably farmed Persephone Vineyard. The grapes were hand picked and hand sorted prior to fermentation. During the fermentation process, they were gently pumped over twice daily and spent 28 days macerating on the skins for optimal color and tannin extraction. Barrel aged for 16 months in 25 % new American Oak and 75% seasoned barrels. Our 2006 Syrah is comprised of 93% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sensory Description: In the glass, the 2006 Syrah is dark garnet, bright and clear in appearance. The plush, yet focused wine shows off bright aromas of blackberry jam, cocoa, hints of black pepper and toast mixed with a touch of spice as the finish lingers effortlessly against supple tannins.
