Tasting Notes |
| Great wines begin with great vineyards and we are delighted to share with you an example of this winemaking truth. Our 60 acre vineyard, located in the heart of the legendary Rutherford District, was the primary vineyard location used to make this wine. The 2005 vintage was of remarkable quality and generous in its yields. These two facts provide the ideal opportunity to make our first Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced almost entirely from this one vineyard. The wine offers a well-balanced acidity with a concentrated layering of fruit and spicy tones. The tannins are well-managed but firm, making the wine a good candidate for cellar aging. After 19 months in French Oak, we bottled a scant 507 cases of the wine in August 2007 which are available exclusively to club members and visiting guests to the winery. |
