Tasting Notes |
| Anthony Terlato, a leader in the wine industry for over 50 years, is an outspoken devotee of Bordeaux wines and has been enjoying and cellaring those wines since the early 60s. When he began producing his own line of wines (Terlato Family Vineyards) in California, he wanted to pay tribute to some of his favorite Bordeaux wines with an innovative collection of Napa Valley red varietal blends. The “Peak Series” includes Cardinals’ Peak, Angels’ Peak and Devils’ Peak. Each of the three blends is inspired by a particular Bordeaux region and focuses on the varietal associated with the region. Cardinals’ Peak is inspired by the traditions and methods of the Margaux region. The varietal taking the lead in the Cardinals’ Peak blend is Cabernet Sauvignon. The cuvee is enhanced by a portion of Merlot which makes up about a quarter of the blend. The wine is full-bodied and has the most structure and deepest color of the Peak wines. |
