Tasting Notes |
| Malbec is valued for its aromatics and the deep color that stems from the grape’s darkly pigmented skin. Looking at this wine gives you a definite visual clue as to the varietal. The grape got its start in France’s Bordeaux region and is widely planted in Argentina and Chile but enjoys only modest acreage in the United States. We are fortunate to have a vineyard high in Napa Valley’s Atlas Peak appellation as the source for this unusual wine. This vintage of Malbec is composed from almost 100% Malbec which makes this wine a great introduction to a varietal still being discovered by American wine drinkers. Only 470 cases were bottled and is exclusively available to wine club members and visitors to the winery. |
