Four generous supporters of the educational mission of the Christian Brothers – Clos du Val Winery, The Hess Collection, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, and Beringer Blass Wine Estates – have donated carefully selected barrels of vintage 2002 wine from their excellent but distinctive vineyards. Bernard Portet of Clos du Val has fashioned them into a blend that is rich and full of varietal character while balanced and satisfying in every way. “We are very excited about this Cabernet,” says Portet. “The wine has intense deep garnet color with a complex mixture of rich dark fruit with spice, toast and vanilla.
