The 2006 Brother Timothy Mont La Salle Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot and was aged in French oak for 18 months. The aroma has a nice sweetness of ripe black cherries, black berry, and cedar. Secondary notes of anise, spice and tobacco make the aroma complex and interesting. On the palate there is the flavor of black cherry and a sweetness coming from the fully ripe mountain fruit. The structure is smooth with round Mount Veeder tannins present.
