Cheers!
With its subtle pepper spice, damp earthiness, subdued black raspberries and constantly evolving layers, Winemaker David Powell has produced a wine that approaches (if not exceeds) it's benchmark - the great wines of Chateauneuf du Pape. Enjoy now through 1018.
A blend of Grenache, Mataro (aka Mourvedre), and Shiraz (aka Syrah), though I don't yet have exact percentages for you.
Under David Powell - the owner, winemaker (and former lumberjack in Scotland's Torbreck Forrest) - Torbreck has become firmly established as a Barossa Valley benchmark. But then I understate the facts. Torbreck is making the world's top Rhone producers sit up, take notice, and grow a tad less comfortable with their grip on the throne!
