Dark chocolate and red wine have had a love affair for years. No wonder chefs often pair after-dinner wines with chocolate desserts, or that many desserts incorporate both chocolate and red wine.
<P>The Wine Lover's Chocolate Collection takes this idea one step further, creating a way to experience the subtleties of wine and chocolate without a lot of guesswork or pretension.
<P>Our tasting panel came into this taste test with a bias towards the chocolates with the highest cocoa content. But after tasting five different gourmet chocolates along with selected wines, we agreed with the producers of this product - their 61% cocoa blend was our preferred match with the spicy, smoky quality of Syrah.
