The Winery
By the end of the 1800's, the area had over 300 acres of vineyards. But after the phylloxera epidemic, followed closely by Prohibition, the county's wine trade nearly became extinct. Even as recently as the 1980's, only one small vineyard existed. Now there are once again over 300 acres planted to grape vines, and the local wine trade is once again testimony to America's pioneer spirit.

Tasting Notes
This blend of Chardonnay (32%) and Sauvignon Blanc (68%) balances the crisp, citrus experience of Sauvignon Blanc with the richer mouth feel of lightly oaked Chardonnay. Delightfully fresh and fruity, you’ll enjoy this refreshing wine from Spring through the end of Summer. And frankly, there's no reason to stop enjoying it then, either!
Nevada City Winery is the oldest winery in Nevada County (yes, it is in California). Nevada City grew to fame during the Gold Rush, and even today the wooden-plank sidewalks and Victorian facade storefronts make one think they've dropped in on the filming of an old Western.
