<font face=arial>I was busily working when the Clautiere Vineyard distributor came to see us. I’d been concentrating. Was not in the mood to taste wine. And besides, I’d never tasted their wine, so it must not be very good (such hubris!)
<P>But as soon as this wine hit my glass it grabbed me by the palate and demanded my attention! Its seductive melon and honeysuckle aromas and its refreshing flavor profile makes this tart difficult to ignore.
Yet it’s lighter than many Viogniers, less unctuous, less viscous. Without doubt, it will prove enjoyable at your table. But to reserve it for the table is to deny yourself the pleasure of sipping it on a hot summer evening while deciding what you want to do about dinner… if anything.</P>
