Buttonwood - 2006 Rosé -- SidewaysWineClub.com Shopping Cart
$16.00 $9.00
-- This dry rosé was desitned to go with food, not just for sipping!
I always enjoy visiting Buttonwood. Beautiful grounds, knowledgeable staff, great art... And how can you not love a tasting room that plays LP's on an actual turntable??
Tasting Notes:
Rosé wines, often referred to simply as "Pinks", divide wine drinkers into three camps - those who only love the sweet White Zinfandel style, those who only love dry European rosé style, and those determined to hate both.
This wine will appeal to lovers of the dry style, and to many of the third camp as well, if they would ever get off their sanctimonious duffs and have a glass with a turkey sandwich with avacado and mayo, or better yet, a toasted cheddar sandwich with pear, bacon and watercress. (Caution: This combination is highly addictive)
This wine reminds me of the blush wines from France, stylistically somewhere between the famous rosés of Provence and those from the Loire.
Less than 400 cases produced.
