<P><B>Tasting Notes:</b><ul>
<b><li>Nose - </b>Classic pinot from the Santa Maria Valley. Nose is dominated by fragrant dark cherries, subtle spice, and inviting oak.
<b><li>Palate - </b>A very nice food wine, look for mild acidity, well balanced alcohol, subtle tannins, and dark fruit-forward flavors in this very special, medium-bodied pinot. <B>only 120 cases produced!</b>
<P><B>The Winemaker</b>
<br>I feel a certain kinship for successful business people who decide to abandon their well-known money stream in favor of their passion. People such as Jeff and Genni White at Ovene Winery.
<P>Although Jeff began his career as a wine salesman, it wasn't until the mid 80's that he began to make wine at home. Jeff enjoys great success at his current job, but his home winemaking grew each year until he finally outgrew his garage back in the late 90's, moving into his first leased space.
