L'Uvaggio (The Blend)
This winery is located close to Verona, in a region known as the Veneto, near the idyllic lakeside town of Lago di Garda. This producer – Monte del Frà (literally “Hill of Monks”, located near an old monastery) – is among the best in the region, with both the resources and the mindset to advance the region’s winemaking.
This wine is rarely seen outside the Veneto, let alone Italy! For good reason – this wine falls into a classification I call "Weird wines for inquiring minds!" - a small (but growing!) group of wine lovers. I mean, how many people will ever try a wine that’s a blend of 7 white grapes (see above)? Well, I’m glad you’re among them.
Don’t get hung up on this wine’s seeming complexities. It is quite simply a delicious and affordable white wine to enjoy all summer long. In the end, it enhances your enjoyment of any day in which it is opened.

Tasting Notes
Beefier than a Pinot Grigio but more slender than Chardonnay – you’ll enjoy this wine all summer long, if you order now. Very small supply!
The Bianco di Custoza (white wine of Custoza) is made up of a unique and extensive blend of white grapes from Northern Italy
This is a surprisingly delicate wine with a floral nose followed by citrus, almond and spice notes on the palate. It is ideal as the wine you offer friends as they come through your door, and continue pouring as the crudités and appetizers appear. A tasty companion for grilled fish or shellfish.
