Tistrya Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 is produced exclusively from grapes grown on "Stagecoach Vineyard," situated on the high slopes of Atlas Peak in Napa Valley. Stagecoach Vineyard is situated 1800 feet of elevation with volcanic rocks and barely any top soil (less than 12 inches in some areas), naturally stressing vines into low yields. A green harvest was conducted in July 2000, further ensuring that only the best fruit produced from our blocs are highly concentrated and rich, resulting in a powerful harmonious orchestration of ripe plum, currant and blackberry layers with nuances of mocha anise on the finish. Its concentrated core is framed by firm yet elegant tannins and just the right touch of oak. Though irresistible to drink now, this wine has the potential for long term aging of 20 to 30 years.
