<td valign="top" style="color:#666666;"> Galaxy is a new wine created in the imagination of the Terlato family as was EPISODE, Elevage Blanc, Angels’ Peak, Devils’ Peak and Cardinals’ Peak and artfully executed by Head-winemaker Doug Fletcher.<BR><BR> The color is very dark red/purple, the first indication of the depth & intensity of this wine. <BR><BR> Because the wine is so youthful, the nose goes through many stages upon opening. Closed to start with but with some air and time the nose opens up to reveal layers & layers of fruit. When first tasted, it showed blueberry and allspice but that transforms into tobacco and chocolate blended with mulberry. With more air and time the nose transforms again to ripe plums and layers of oak spice; mostly nutmeg, clove and allspice again. <BR><BR>The flavors will need years to develop the complexity promised by the ever changing nose. At this point in its life, it is intense stone fruit flavors with a good grip of tannin. The mid palette is rich, full and nice fruit flavors. The wine will need a full 10 years in the bottle to display all the possible potential. <BR><BR>The intriguing aspect of this wine is its complexity. It isn’t Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot or Syrah but a complex trilogy with a most interesting new wine aroma and taste profile.
