<p><strong>Tasting Notes:</strong> Maritime Red is a carefully orchestrated "winemaker's blend" of 64% Merlot and 36% Zinfandel after each has been barrel aged for 18 months. This creates a flavorful dry wine with a delicate, spicy finish. Designed to be versatile and approachable, this wine can be served with a variety of meats, game and pasta.</p>
<p><strong>Winemaker:</strong> Matyas Vogel and David Roberts Jr. <strong>Grapes:</strong> Merlot-Zinfandel blend. <strong>Fermentation:</strong> Extended maceration in open vats followed by fermentation in open vats. <strong>Barrel Aging:</strong> 18 months in American oak. <strong>Alcohol:</strong> 12.5% <strong>Awards:</strong> 2007 Tasters Guild Silver Medal, 2006 Tasters Guild Silver Medal </p>
