Transmission Mount - Racing

part is intended for race cars only and is not recommended for street
car use.
To meet the demanding needs of racers, the new TM-R features a hybrid design sharing features of our standard TME bushings and solid metal racing mounts:
High-durometer urethane
bushings are stiff enough to provide nearly flex-free support, yet
still absorb some amount of vibration.
Continuous bolt-through
design eliminates flex and bushing separation from rotational forces
(especially with high-powered cars).
Direct-fit design with
correct clearance notch ensures hassle-free installation on any 1992-2005
3-series or M3.
Stainless steel hardware.
How is this different from the standard UUC Transmission Mount?
The standard BMW bushings and
the standard UUC bushings do not have a continuous bolt.
Despite appearances, those bushings actually have two separate threaded
rods within the bushing material. While this is an ideal design
for a street car, a race car has different requirements. Noise
and vibration isolation are not race car priorities and are happily
swapped in favor of a stiffer and stronger design.
The TM-R meets these requirements with a stiff urethane and strong single
bolt that will not allow the bushing to pull apart or break, regardless
of how much powertrain torque is applied.
