No traces of the IDCM are left behind provided for the dealer to see. Thermal management and fuel management make worries almost non-existent. Well, this is more simple than you might think. They do!
We are not talking about over hyped claims of 25% more performance. We are simply looking for the realistic 10-15% Left on the table by all manufactures to get the most out of what is there from warranty figures etc. You can bet as time martches on, these engines will get more power standard 'seemingly from nowhere'.
Q)With more power, how does my car not consume more fuel?
This is a logical and completely normal question from a gasoline car perspective. Know that the diesel engine is always ingesting the same amount of air per revolution as there is no throttle plate in a diesel engine. What we do is
alter how fuel is delivered without increasing the amounts of boost or fuel. This technology is certainly new to us living in the US, but for our European and other non-domestic friends is a very popular tuning method on many late model european cars.
