<UL>Clutchmasters have worked very hard to find out what combination of friction materials and clamping force works, and works for the long haul.<BR>
You see, it's easy to make a clutch that holds lots of power but that is very difficult to modulate and/or requires high pedal effort. Its also easy for a clutch that holds power smoothly, but wears out very very quickly, too quickly for the high cost of a clutch and clutch job.<BR>
Instead, Clutchmasters with their years of experience, real world testing and feedback from companies like VAC have developed clutch kits that meet the wide range of needs of the enthusiast and racer, and also last.<P>
Clutchmasters uses a high leverage design and tough friction materials, so pedal effort is comfortable and engagement is as smooth as possible.<BR>
By adding a sprung hub disc, chatter and noise gained if adding a lightweight flywheel is greatly reduced or nearly eliminated. Depending on your car's use, we offer five performance options to match whatever your needs:</UL> <P> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><b>ClutchMasters FX100 - Performance Organic </b> - Perfect replacement for stock & and mild bolt ons, chip exhaust etc. (excellent for: street and light track use) </font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><b>ClutchMasters FX200 - Kevlar</b> - 70% higher capacity w/ easy engagement, great for cams and internal mods 2.3 to a mild 2.5. Very smooth on street.</font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><b>ClutchMasters FX300 - Segmented Kevlar</b> - A favorite for highly built 2.5 that sees hard street and track day use. Kevlar surface has more bite, impressively smooth with an average 110% higher capacity.</font></li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><b>ClutchMasters FX400 - Ceramic </b>- For hard use, gives up much smoothness for lots of power handling capability - great for track use; positive engagement. Also aggressively built turbo street cars that need maximum holding. <li><font size="2" face="Arial"><b>ClutchMasters FX500 - Sintered Ceram-iron </b>- Full race use only, non-sprung on/off style puck clutch. The choice for the full build, all track E30 M3 that can't afford a VAC clutch.</font></li> <ul> </li> <li><font size="2" face="Arial">Pressure Plate: ClutchMasters increase the clamping force on the pressure plate by changing the lever action which adds a minimal amount of pedal stiffness compared to other methods. Also, they replace the straps with beefier pieces and add an additional layer for good measure; this has proven to be the Achille's heel on most pressure plates (as we have found with other clutches) and is a must for cars that will receive any extended hard use.<b><br></b></font></li> </font></ul> <p><font class="font2"><font size="2" face="Arial">All kits include Clutchmasters clutch disc / pressure plate in stage of choice, plus needed bearing/s. <p> <B>These kits fit:<BR> <LI>1986-on E30 M3 (all) <LI>E30 320is (“2.0 Italian M3”).</B> <p> </font></P>
