Our ARP Con Rod Bolt Sets give you a clear advantage over the OEM Con Rod Bolts: strength!<BR><BR>
Even cosmetically, the difference in construction and quality is apparent... If you look at the OEM bolts, you will see a taper on the threads which actually takes away bolt grip.<BR.>
If you go by the general fastener requirements, you should have at minimum 1 x the bolt diameter in thread engagement, and the factory bolts don't even come close.<BR>
1.5 x the diameter is excellent and achievable with our ARP Con Rod Bolt Set. This helps to greatly increase the reliability of your engine and is recommended anytime a BMW engine is rebuilt for performance using OEM rods.<BR><BR>
