This 1.5L Magnum of our Leonardini Family Selection Napa Valley Pinot Noir 2006 is perfect with any meal for your special Valentine's Day dinner. <p><u>The Story:</u><br> Whitehall Lane was introduced to some outstanding clusters of Pinot Noir grapes from the southern edge of the Napa Valley in 2006. Although searching for Carneros Pinot Noir, we could not pass on this extraordinary fruit. Just over four tons of grapes from the Green Island Vineyard were harvested on September 22, 2006 and the wine aged in 100% French barrels.<p>
<u>Tasting Notes: </u><br> Bordering the San Francisco Bay, the cool-climate of the Green Island Vineyard is evident in the delicate flavors and aromas of this wine. It beckons with a fragrance of rose petals and violets and delivers round, supple flavors of strawberry, clove, cherry and toasty oak. The mild tannins on the finish give length to the wine and will continue rounding out with cellaring through 2010.
