Great wine for the money! A medium-bodied, fruity wine with a dry finish. It offers aromas of black cherries, spice and smoke on the nose, and red & black fruit on the palate. A lot more sophisticated than you would expect at this price. Yes, it’s juicy. Yes, it’s fruity but it is definitely not sweet or smoky oaky. The spicy, pepper backbone comes from the Syrah and Carignan.
Grapes: 48% Grenache, 30% Carignan, 22% Syrah
Cheese Pairings: Mahon, Spicy Cheeses, Mimolette.
