JRE, JRE, JRE! I’ve become a big fan of John Robert Eppler, aka JRE. Here's a terrific new cabernet that will have you screaming his praises, too. This good ‘ole boy from Texas has “done real good” with his new release. John, a former Aggie from Texas A & M, hightailed it out of the Lone Star state in 1986 and landed in the picturesque Napa Valley. After winemaking gigs at both Robert Mondavi and Rosenblum Cellars, John started his own label in 2001. We’ve known John for a while now, and have represented many of his wines in the past. But with this month’s pick, John has truly outdone himself. A mere 524 cases were produced of this 93% cabernet sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc blend. Full-bodied and rich flavors of cassis, blueberry and spice are followed by hints of violet and baker's chocolate. The lushness of this wine keeps you coming back for more, not to mention the price! ~Jim Meyers</P>
