Principi di Butera Insolia, Sicilia 2007 -- Wine Thieves Shopping Cart
$10.99
Spring is in the air, and I know you all are looking for an alternative to the usual Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. How about a nice, crisp white with mineral, slight pineapple/almond, and a hint of white peach? Sound good? The name of the winery is Principi de Butera, and it was founded in 1543. It was purchased in 1997 by the Zonin family, and they invested heavily into the estate, which is situated entirely in the Riesi production zone of Sicily. This indigenous varietal pairs well with fish, grilled chicken, and cream-based pasta sauces. Whats the price, you ask? How's $10.99 for value? This is a real treat for the money and a great quaffing wine. ~ John Howell, IV
