Tasting Notes: Dark Red Brick in color. The aroma is filled with red cherry, prunes and fine cedar notes.The wine is medium bodied and very fruit driven, red fruit with wonderful layers of velvety tannins and fine hints of toasted oak make it extremely food friendly. This is a elegant yet fun Merlot that has a lot going on and will go very well with food. Technical Notes: 86% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon Pinot Noir. This La Ferme Martin is a selection of the 3 varieties above from 5 different blocks. The wine was blended in August of 2007 and spent a total of 12 month in barrique barrels and stainless steel tanks and had a total of 5 rackings. The wine was bottled without being filtered or fined mid March of 2008. Only 744 cases 750ml and 779 cases of 375ml were produced. Serving Suggestions: Serve slightly below room temperature. This wine is a great wine for everyday sipping and an excellent match for chicken or veal dishes, antipasti, Burgers and cheese.</P>
