Cara Mia Vineyard, Red Mountain 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot
Iron, minerals and bright red fruit on the nose. Incredible
structure featuring juicy acidity keeps Camerata focused and energetic. The
fruit leans towards black plums and blackberry. The tannins are fine,
lingering, not at all intrusive and built for the long haul. Of all our recent
vintages this benefits the most from a long decant or time in the glass. As I
write this tasting note over the course of a couple hours it has opened up
dramatically, revealing yet more layers of complexity and depth. I am positive
it will be a 30 year wine.
