39% cabernet franc, 45% merlot, 9% petit verdot, 7% cabernet sauvignon
Coda is, as it has been since 2019, 100% Cara Mia estate fruit.
Each barrel of Coda is tended exactly as our Bel Canto and Camerata reserves.
The only difference is that the Coda barrels did not fit the profile we
envision for our best blends. So does it taste like Bel Canto? Absolute family
resemblance, yes, but in a package that is ready to drink now. Coda leads with gorgeous blueberry, menthol and dried
currants on the nose leading to a polished, plush texture on the palate.
Tannins are soft but present and the overall structure is supported by bright
acidity. Deeply concentrated but not heavy, the finish goes on and on.
Cara’s tasting note simply reads “glug glug.”
