Red Mountain 75% petit verdot, 25 % cabernet franc.
Summertime . . . and the sippin’ is easy. The
vintage 2025 rosé is a petit/franc blend that gives it just the right zip for
summer barbeque or afternoon tapas. Perfumed with hints of peach, apricot and a
dusting of powdered sugar, the palate broadens to a smooth, mellow finish.
Winemaker’s Production
Note: The Rosé was produced
using the method known as saigneé, or bleeding the must. In this
technique the clear, newly crushed grape juice is removed from the fermenter
after about 10 minutes. In this time it acquires only the rosé color from
the skins. The juice is then barrel fermented, malolactic fermentation is
blocked, the wine settled, racked, blended and bottled five months after
vintage.
