Description: A low protein Italian pasta shaped like rice or orzo. This versatile shape can be used as in any of your rice or orzo dishes. Bake it, stir it into soups, or create great salads and stir-fry dishes. The Aproten line of pastas are also wheat/lactose-free and low in salt and potassium, making them suitable for individuals with renal diseases as well.
Preparation: Boil 4 cups of water per 62 g of pasta. Stir pasta into the boiling water and then simmer for 9 minutes or until tender. Drain and rinse under running water for approximately 2 minutes to remove excess starch. The cooking time listed may vary depending on boiling methods and tastes.
Serving Suggestions: Prepare Cambrooke Foods' Alfredo Sauce Mix and pour over the prepared pasta or top with your favorite light sauce.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place.
Ingredients: Rice starch, corn starch, potato flour, inulin, calcium carbonate, mono- and diglycerides.
