Guardian Cam and Lifter Kit
Performance
hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit for Generation I small
block Chevrolet V-8 engines (non-computer controlled.) P/N CL1007. Cam
kit contains camshaft, lifters, and cam lube. This cam is the biggest
cam for use with stock torque converter but better with a small stall.
Lower gears are recommended. Camshaft specs are as follows:
- ADV DUR.: 298/298
- DUR @ .050": 224/224
- VALVE LIFT: .466/.466
- CENTER LINE: 112
- RPM RANGE: 1800-5800
- IDLE QUALITY: Mild rough idle
This
camshaft is comparable to a COMP Cams 270H Magnum series grind. Using
stock springs is not recommended. Don't pay those inflated prices for
"BIG brand" cams!
