Grown on 19 rows on the south side of our Los Alamos Vineyard planted in 1992, this is a bolder Dolcetto than we’ve seen in previous vintages. The wine is intensely purple in color with flashes of brick red. Lifted aromas on the nose hint of blackberry jam, currants, and a touch of toasty French oak while nuances of dried straw add richness and density. In the mouth, flavors of white pepper, cedar, cherries, and wood smoke round out a layered palate balanced by firm savory tannins and a spicy finish.
