This wine's reasonable price and gulpable characteristics belie its seriousness - in fact, Antonio Galloni (Vinous) had this to say: "The 2023 High Country Red is a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir, a sort of California Passetoutgrains. Bright, punchy, and exuberant, the 2023 is seriously delicious. Vibrant red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and a kick of orange peel all come alive in the glass. This is a total delight. "
