From the Winery: "There is not much Roussanne, one of the Rhône Valley’s
premier white grapes, grown in California. These grapes are
sourced from grower Larry Mettler’s vineyard in Lodi. Whole
cluster pressed then fermented in neutral oak with native yeast,
the wine was bottled after relatively short barrel aging (6
months), which maintains purity of fruit.
TASTING NOTES:
Mensch Roussanne serves up a wonderful mineral core framed
alongside bright acidity for good structure. With a medium
body lifted by stone fruit, citrus and jasmine, the Mensch
Roussanne is consistenly one of our most crowd-pleasing
white wines."
