Wild Hog Pinot Noir 2016 - Estate - Organically Grown. This vintage, Daniel Shoenfeld produced a very smooth, rich, extracted pinot noir with a layer of cedar spice just that right 'kick' at the finish. The vineyard was planted and tended by Daniel and his wife Marion for over 40 years. A local volunteer firefighter, farmer, and 'back to the land' enthusiest, Daniel has a local Sonoma County insider's following for his wines. Minimally processed, lightly oaked, not fined, not filtered.
Try this with cedar planked salmon for a special treat. The earthy Redwood forest surrounds Wild Hog vineyard. It imbudes cedar and earth into every glass - only certain parts of California boast these exotic flavors.
