2017 Filice Connolly Zinfandel, Northern Napa Valley 14.8%
This 75 year old, 3 acre vineyard is located in St. Helena's northern Napa Valley. My goal each year is to drop fruit production in the vineyard to about 2 tons of fruit per acre to intensify the flavors.
Tasting Notes:
100% Zinfandel aged in 100% American oak, 30% new barrels. Pure luscious Zin with it's consistent beautiful garnet color. You will experience bursting red raspberries, currants, and big juicy fruit with hints of bell pepper spice and toasted vanilla oak on the nose. On the palate you will find vibrant mouthwatering red raspberries, red currants with lightly toasted oak, pepper and a balanced long lingering finish.
