2022 Muscat, North Coast

Winemaking:
"Muscat has the most wonderful, delicate fruit flavors and natural balance. To retain this, and to eliminate any astringency that can come from the skins, we press the whole clusters very gently in the Champagne press. The juice is then fermented slowly in stainless steel at a cool temperature. We stop the fermentation by gently filtering out the yeast, leaving the wine with a slight sweet finish and low alcohol." — Winemaker/Brewmaster, Elaine St. Clair

Roots:
The 2022 vintage is from the Luchsinger Vineyard located in Lake County, just north of Napa County and east of Mendocino County. Bernie Luchsinger has been farming grapes in California and in Chile for almost 50 years. He planted the Luchsinger Vineyard in 1998 and farms the vineyard with his daughter, Pilar. The warmer site of the Luchsinger Vineyard is ideal for ripening muscat to its full flavor potential.

pear, white peach, apple blossom, tangerine, guava, honey suckle, green tea, lemongrass

delicate, sweet layers of fruit balanced with a bright clean finish
