2023 Filice Larsen Zinfandel, Northern Napa Valley 14.6%
This 75 year old, 2.5 acre vineyard is located in northern Napa Valley, outside of the small town of St. Helena. Rare for most of today’s Zinfandels, this wine is 100% Zinfandel aged in 100% American oak.
Tasting Notes:
Like previous vintages from the Filice Larsen Vineyard, this wine shows spice alongside expressive fruit, but leans more heavily into elegance and purity. On the nose, you'll find dark raspberry and cherry layered with spice, nutmeg, and notes of toasted oak and vanilla. A whisper of black tea adds depth and intrigue. On the palate, the wine is true to our house style--bright garnet in color, with mouthwatering acidity, soft tannins, and a long, graceful finish. Classic and focused, this Zinfandel showcases both finesse and restraint.
