2020 Rhône Blend, Sonoma Valley

Winemaking:
"Already a huge fan of the Syrah that we grow on our estate vineyards, I was inspired to make a blend with another Rhône Varietal, Grenache. The Grenache brings bright strawberry fruit and a juicy acidity. The Syrah brings more dark dense fruit, as well as a subtle floral and spice character. By blending these varietals, we create a wine that is fruit forward and approachable yet refined and age worthy." — Winemaker/Brewmaster, Elaine St. Clair

Roots:
The 2020 vintage features our Shearer Estate Syrah vineyard from Coombsville in the Napa Valley. The Grenache component is from Sonoma just north of Carneros.

Aromas:
black cherry, raspberry, lavender, white pepper, and bay

Palate:
Bursts with bright complex fruit, subtle savory spice, and a lingering finish.

Stats:
90% Grenache (Sonoma Valley)

10% Syrah (Coombsville, Napa Valley)
